Design studio Aparte has released yet another fantastic piece of furniture. This new product, the Katra chair is a new project that seeks adventure in new material and high design.
The use of composite material allows innovative design and light profile while still providing enough strength to the piece. Aparte wanted to use a natural fibre. They opted for ramie fiber. Ramie is a plant in the nettle family. It offers strength superior to fiberglass for a fraction of the weight.
The design itself is minimalist though angular aspect gives a feeling of power. This strong industrial design reflects the properties of the innovative material employed in the chair.
